I've been messing about with pattern in my sketchbooks and I'm enjoying the freedom of creating purely decorative artwork. I've been trying to create patterns that can be used on lots of different products to make them more commercially viable. These are two mock ups of potential greetings cards. I imagine them as a pack of 10 generic thank you cards with a couple of varying designs. I created them using black colouring pencil and I really like the simplicity and texture of it. I'm contemplating adding slight hints of colour but I really quite like them left black and white.
